Constellations is a live multimedia concert featuring electronic, hip-hop, and hyperpop artists paired with movement performers. The event raises funds for a new therapy access program for queer & BIPOC artists. We are wanting to connect with humans who are passionate about supporting each other and our communities, especially in the current landscape in our cities.

Dancers will review a list of songs each artist is performing and select which song(s) speak to them that they wish to dance to. Dancers have full freedom of style, whether it's free-style, burlesque, theatrical, or tons of aerial tricks.

Why this night exists

Our work is intentionally built around queer and BIPOC artists, especially those in alternative scenes (punk, electronic, hip-hop, and hybrid styles). These artists are wildly talented but often made to conform to spaces that are white-led, heteronormative, or rooted in “traditional professionalism.”

Even within mental health and art education spaces, opportunities are often withheld unless one fits within an aesthetic targeted within the broadest audience or strict genre norms. Artists of queer, black, and brown communities make up the bedrock of our country's music history, yet struggle the most to find mental health and artistic resources.

Constellations exists to shift that.
Our performances and live interviews with the artists work to highlight not just that these are dope performers but WHO they are and what made them the badasses we see on stage

Proceeds from Constellations fund Therapy Passes, covering therapy

sessions for artists who may need assistance accessing mental health care. These may go towards a network a therapists signed as official partners of Constellations OR money given towards costs of therapy in general.
